Exist in Photos

I watched a 90 minute webinar with Sue Bryce last weekend. She is the photographer who inspired my current shooting style and gave me the courage to trust my artistic voice.

When I watched this video I bawled… Not because she takes amazing photos, but because of the question she asks.

“What will you do when your children look for photographs of you and there are none?”

I cried because I am guilty of this. I just returned from seven wonderful months with my family and I have no pictures of myself enjoying that time. None.

We have to get past our self loathing, our concern about our weight, the excuses we make to stay behind the camera and get in the picture. We must exist in photographs!
